What I call "The Sqwiglies"

Not being a real computer wizard just an Ole Grouch I must say that this is a very impressive tool and the graph showing output I really like-but- I really have no clue as to what all the 'Sqwiglies" (ups and downs) tracks mean as to how the router/computer is performing. My setup is as follows; iMac Intel Core i5, OS 10.6..8, Amped R20000G Router. All of these items are within 4 feet of each other. I would appreciate a non tech explanation just in case I've got problems.

The Squiglies represent different signal strengths on a graph.
